KAILUA-KONA — Hawaiian Telcom said Wednesday afternoon the company has fixed issues with fiber optics that were burned as the result of a crash Tuesday at the intersection of Mamalahoa and Daniel K. Inouye highways.

Ann Nishida Fry, corporate communications senior manager, said that as of about 12:20 p.m. crews had restored all impacted services. They were sent to the scene earlier Wednesday after temporary solution that was put into place following the crash failed.

She said technicians remain on the scene and that a handful of customers may still be impacted.
